The Monday Morning Blog - 24/10/11
“Don’t be left out in the Cold this Halloween”
So, this is the first in our series of Monday Morning Blogs - something you’ll see pop up in your Blog Feed, Twitter Feed, Facebook Stream each and every Monday going forwards.
We’ll be furnishing you with wheel-based news and thoughts on the wheel & tyre industry, as well as new product news updates and photos.
Halloween is fast approaching (next Monday!), the nights are drawing in, the cold is getting closer, so we thought it would be a good time to raise awareness of winter wheel and tyres… Don’t be left out in the cold with the ghosts and ghouls!
Winter wheels are a creating a real buzz in the industry; and this buzz is finally trickling down into the conscience of the general public. I saw three articles in the national press and a further article in my local weekend newspaper this weekend, all alluding to the need to invest in winter wheels and tyres for safety and, believe it or not, economical benefits.
Just think of the cost of refurbishing your alloy wheels; or even worse, the damage to your insurance premium after having an accident on what are set to be another winter of treacherous UK roads!
Temperatures have already started to dip below 7°C, in the mornings and evenings (when most people are driving their school-run or commute), and this really is a signal to invest in a change of footwear for your vehicle.
Wheelwright are leading the field in offering a winter wheel and tyre solution - with our intrinsic links to KFZ Stahlrad, part of the Alcar Group, who manufacture Original Equipment Steel Wheels; and our fantastic pricing on simple 5-spoke alloy designs such as the Dezent RE, we really have made it as easy and affordable as possible to make the investment.

Couple either alloy or steel wheels with our Jinyu Winter Tyres (or upgrade to a premium winter tyre), and you have a bolt-on package, which simply replace your summer/all-season wheels for the winter season. Wheelwright really are making it as simple as possible to improve the safety of your vehicle during the winter months.

To find out more, head over to www.wheelwright.co.uk/winter-wheels-and-tyres or ask your retailer about Wheelwright’s Winter Wheel & Tyre packages. With 90% of the car-park covered, and excellent stock volumes, we are ready to help you get ready for winter, starting this Halloween Weekend!
Don’t be left out in the cold (with those ghosts and ghouls!)…

Wheelwright Brand Transition Announcement:
I’d like to raise attention to a number of positive developments here at Alcar Wheelwright.
You will have noticed a slow transition from “Alcar” back to our original name of “Wheelwright” in the past 6-8 months. To some of you, this may come as no great surprise, as we are often still referred to as Wheelwright, but we felt we should explain this change in name, and introduce you to our new branding.
We’re not reinventing the wheel!
This new branding and trading name will not change the way we operate. We will continue to offer you the same great products, at competitive prices, with unrivalled sales and after-sales support. The brand mark has changed to reflect a more contemporary and refreshing feel for the future to support our ongoing commitment to developing our company as industry leaders for quality and diversity of applications within the Alloy and Steel wheel market.
What’s changed?
We are confident you will only notice positive changes. You may notice the new logo and name on our invoices, packaging and marketing materials. Our core consumer brands will remain the same, so point of sale materials and consumer marketing goods will remain the same. Then, there’s our new online offering – a pioneering new website that we have endeavoured to make industry-leading.
Aesthetically pleasing: Functionally sound:
Our new and improved website is not only looking slicker than ever, but functions impeccably, giving you access to stock and fitment look-up by vehicle, size, application and brand, as well as a wealth of tools to help you sell more product both online and on the high street. We have listened to your comments on our web offering and feel confident our brand new site will fill you with confidence in fitments, availability and online ordering.
The official launch of the new and improved website will be announced very soon. One of our representatives will call you to introduce you to your new user account online and verify your details for our new Retailer Look-Up.
